Buying and renovating our offices and retreat center in Phoenix was one of the most rewarding and exciting times in my business. It was the result of years of dreaming and investing, and when the time came, we had one shot to make it exactly what we wanted. We took many of our cues from what makes us feel good – something we focused on especially while working from home during the pandemic. Professional but warm and cozy, functional but homey. Whether working out of your home, or creating an office space that feels WFH, check out these 10 home office must haves that will make your workday more enjoyable and efficient.

1. A Great Moisturizer

Taking care of your skin is essential. Look great on videos calls and feel well all day – a little self-care and moisturizer go a long way in banishing the distractions of parched, itchy skin. Check out our good+grounding Sleep Tight Nighttime Moisture Barrier – it’s rich and fast-absorbing and layers well under makeup during the day or anytime you need a little extra hydration. This rich, non-greasy formula visibly rejuvenates and nourishes skin for improved texture and hydration. Say goodbye to dry skin and hello to a more radiant complexion.

2. Adaptogems Lozenges

When stress gets in the way of your workday, reach for Adaptogems Lozenges. I LOVE these Lychee + Rosewater lozenges containing adaptogens Reishi and L-theanine, which support balanced energy and improved mood. Plus, they come in convenient individually wrapped packets, making them easy to take with you on the go for a little immune support anytime you need it.

3. Adjustable Standing Desk

Sitting at a desk for hours on end can lead to back pain and other health issues. That’s why an adjustable standing desk is a must-have for any home office. With the ability to switch between sitting and standing, you’ll be able to maintain good posture and stay active throughout the day.

4. Ergonomic Office Chair

Take it from me – I suffered from terrible back and shoulder pain for years before discovering my chair and desk were the culprits. A comfortable office chair is essential for long workdays. Look for an ergonomic chair that provides proper support for your back and neck. It’s worth investing in a quality chair that will keep your posture aligned for years to come.

5. Lux Waffle Weave Blanket

A comfortable workspace is a productive workspace – my office is packed with natural textiles like soft pillows, jute rugs, and this blanket. It lends to a soft surrounding that helps clients and me to relax, no matter how stressful the day gets. Check out our Lux Waffle Weave Blanket, the perfect addition to your home office. I chose this pre-washed 100% natural Turkish Aegean Cotton throw, perfect for all-weather use, because it’s gorgeous and also because It’s Oeko-tex certified. That means it’s free of harmful chemicals and made in an environmentally friendly facility under socially responsible working conditions. Plus, the fringe and gorgeous color adds a touch of style to your workspace.

6. The Perfect Mug

If you’re a coffee lover like me, you need the Look Alive Mug in your life. This 15 oz. mug is microwave and top rack dishwasher safe, making it perfect for busy workdays. The design is printed on both sides, so left- and right-handers can enjoy it equally (a show it off in those Zoom meetings!). Plus, the humorous message will put a smile on your face everyday.

7. Adaptogen Focus Matcha

Sometimes, coffee just doesn’t cut it. That’s where the Adaptogen Focus Matcha comes in. This organic matcha contains Siberian ginseng, green tea pollen, spirulina, and vanilla – adaptogens that support focus and productivity, and with less caffeine than coffee (which is great for an afternoon pick-me-up that won’t keep you awake at bedtime). Plus, it’s naturally nutty and sweet, making it a delicious addition to your workday routine.

8. Noise-Cancelling Headphones

If you live in a noisy environment like the city, have kids and/or pets in the family, or are surrounded by lot of distractions, noise-cancelling headphones are a game-changer. I once worked with a coach who lived in New York City, which is glamorous and cool, except for listening to sirens, barking dogs, and garbage trucks every few minutes from the street below her flat. When the holidays rolled around, I surprised her with a set of noise-cancelling headphones with a noise-cancelling microphone for her work calls – they don’t block all noise for her (which is actually good for safety) but they reduce it for her and her clients, making her sound more credible and clear.

9. Ring Light

I have recorded video with everything from natural light to high-end professional lighting (ie, expensive), and I keep coming back to my ring light. The reality is, at some point in your career, you’ll probably find it advantageous to invest in bringing a more polished, professional video setup in-house. But often, day-to-day, you’ll find an affordable, portable solution like a ring light perfect for Zoom calls, shooting Reels, and flexibility at work events.

10. Natural Light Lamp

Natural light has been shown to improve mood and productivity, especially for those who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder. Incorporating a natural light lamp into your home office can have a positive impact on your workday. Look for a lamp that simulates natural light, which can reduce eye strain and improve your overall well-being.

Whether working from home has been or challenging, or you looking to warm up your office environment, these are my top home office must-haves for a comfortable and productive workspace that will support your wellness even the busiest workdays. From skincare to adaptogens to office decor, these essentials will elevate your workday and make it more enjoyable.
